The giant clump of Armillaria melea (Oak Root fungus, AKA Honey Mushroom) upon which I'm sitting in the above photo was found growing in Fall of 1996 down the North slope of Rocky Bar Road, in the roadside ditch. The spores were a poisonous copper sulfate color. We really grow 'em big hereabouts!
