Setting Up Dialup in Windows XP

  1. Go to the Start Menu, and click Control Panel.
  2. If you are asked to pick a category, click "Switch to Classic View".
  3. Double-click Network Connections.
  4. Depending on your version of Windows, click "Create a new connection", or double-click New Connection Wizard.
  5. In the New Connection Wizard, click Next.
  6. Select "Connect to the Internet", and click Next.
  7. Select "Set up my connection manually", and click Next.
  8. Select "Connect using a dial-up modem", and click Next.
  9. Under ISP Name, type Foothill.net, and click Next.
  10. Under Phone Number, type your dialup number. (To get a local dialup number, go to our numbers page.) Click Next.
  11. Enter your username and password, check all checkboxes, and click next.
  12. Check "Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop", and click Finish.
