Setting Up Newsgroups in Microsoft Outlook Express

To set up your news account:

1. Start Outlook Express. If the Internet Connection Wizard appears, click Cancel.
2. Click the Tools menu and select Accounts.
3. In the Internet Accounts Window, click the Add button and select News.
4. Enter your name as you want it to appear in your posts, and click Next.
5. Enter the email address to which you want replies to your posts to be sent, and click Next.
6. For the news server, enter nntp2.foothill.net, click Next, and click Finish.
7. Click Close.

To subscribe to a newsgroup:

1. Right-click "nntp2.foothill.net" in the folder list, and click Newsgroups...
2. Once all the newsgroups download, click a newsgroup you want to subscribe to, and click Subscribe.
3. Once you have subscribed to all desired newsgroups, click OK.
