Setting Up Newsgroups in Netscape Communicator 4.x

To set up your news account:

1. Start Netscape Communicator.
2. Go to the Edit menu, and click Preferences
3. Double-click Mail & Groups (4.0x) or Mail & Newsgroups (4.5x-4.7x), and click Groups Server.
4. Netscape version:
   • 4.0x: Under "Discussion groups (news) server", enter nntp2.foothill.net.
   • 4.5x-4.7x: Click Add, and under "Server", enter nntp2.foothill.net. Click OK.
5. Click OK.

To subscribe to a newsgroup:

1. Go to the Communicator menu, and click "Collabra Discussion Groups"(4.0x) or "Newsgroups"(4.5x-4.7x)
2. Go to the File menu and click Subscribe.
3. After the list of newsgroups appears, click a newsgroup you want to subscribe to, and click Subscribe.
4. Once you have subscribed to all desired newsgroups, click OK.
