FTA would like thank Hutchinson Sign Company of Foresthill who has completed the FTA logo and has placed it on our "Future Site" sign board at the Patent Rd. site.

As the 2002 ultra running and endurance riding season on the WS Trail fades away members of the WS Endurance Run and Western States Trail Ride have been removing all the yellow ribbons from the Trail. This is to comply with the request from Ed Moore of the USFS but the regular trail signs will remain in place. Thanks goes to everyone who was involved with either or both events and contributed to another successful year and we will look forward to continued activity along the trail in the way of Trail Work Parties, Fun Rides/Runs and remember these dates for the 30th Running of Western States Endurance Run, June 28, 2003 and the 49th Anniversary Western States Trail Ride, July 12, 2003. - Shannon Weil

Great News!
The Wendel and Inez Robie Foundation received a grant from the Placer County Visitors Council of $1500.00 that will be used entirely for the development if the Patent Road Staging Area. Thank you, Jim Larimer, for all the time that went into obtaining this funding. We appreciate all the help and support from our friends at the Robie Foundation!
