Instead of memberships coming due in January of each year, they will now be due one year from your actual joining date. Please contact Sue Crum with questions or corrections.

We have a new membership category -- a business sponsorship is available and our first sponsor is Placer Electric Inc. Thank you very much. If you are interested in a business sponsorship, please contact Sue Crum, Larry Mobley, Jim Larimer or Lori Lunsford for details.
New FTA brochures will be available in April. Contact any of the board members for copies. Keep a few at home for distribution to new friends and neighbors and a copy or two in your pack or saddle bag for those chance encounters along the trail.

Spring is here and this is a wonderful time of the year to enjoy our trails. Please send in your trail scouting reports.
Community hikes
have been very popular and the FTA will host several this spring and summer.

Patent Road Staging Area Update
The proposal is almost ready. Final details and measurements will be completed shortly and then onto County approval. As soon as we get the official approval we can get started with the construction.

  • We will need to clear the parking area (tractor required and volunteers to help)
  • Spread gravel (tractor necessary and $$$$ to purchase gravel)
  • Clear the remaining section on trail (most of the trail is existing but there is a section to complete)
  • Repair the bottom section of the trail where it joins the Western States Trail
  • Install signs and have a party!

If you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please contact any of the people listed below. We all care deeply about the future of the trail system on the Foresthill Divide and welcome your participation. We meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month at the Foresthill Midddle School. During our meetings we discuss new projects, any trail problems and various trail related topics. It's a great place to learn about new trails.
