January Membership Renewal
Please remember to renew your membership for the 1999 physical year. We are
a diverse group of people who enjoy the trails on the divide. Maps are
available to members. Please join us on the 4th Tuesday of the month to
get details of what the group is currently doing to preserve the trails
for everyone.
Todd Valley Trail
Todd Valley Trail is for non-motorized vehicles and foot traffic. It has
been brought to the FTA's attention that motorcycles have been a problem
when no sign was present. The FTA attached a small sign at each end of
the trail. It was removed. We will be placing a much larger "no motorized
vehicles" sign on a more solid post.
Dump Trail Staging Area Proposal
FTA sent a letter to the County Parks Department in support of a staging
area at the dump site near Foresthill. This would be a valuable link in
our trail system.
Trail Scouting
Any trees down? Any washouts? Let us know. A few members are available
to handle small problems. Every meeting we have trail reports from people
who use the trail regularly. Do you want to know the condition of a
particular trail? Usually someone at the meeting has some idea of the
condition of that trail. Please come and join us, and let us know what
you have observed out there.
