Setup Internet Explorer 4 Using The Internet Connection Wizard

1. Click on the START button.
2. Go to Programs.
3. In the Programs menu go to Internet Explorer.
4. Click on "Connection Wizard".
5. Mark the second option. "I have an existing Internet account …".
6. Click on the NEXT button.
7. Mark the first option. "Select this option if you are accessing the Internet using an Internet service provider…".
8. Click on the NEXT button.
9. Mark the first option. "Connect using my phone line."
10. Click on the NEXT button.
11. Choose your modem and click on the NEXT button.
12. Mark first option. "Create a new dial-up connection".
13. Click on the NEXT button.
14. Enter in the GotNet dial-up number in telephone number space.
15. Click on the NEXT button.
16. Enter in your username and password, making sure you are not using CAPS.
17. Click on the NEXT button.
18. Mark "YES".
19. Click on the NEXT button.
20. Enter Foothill.Net in the connection name field.
21. Click on the NEXT button.
22. Mark "YES" to create email account.
23. Click on the NEXT button.
24. Mark "Create a new Internet Mail account".
25. Click on NEXT button.
26. Enter your name.
27. Click on the NEXT button.
28. Enter in email address. username@foothill.net
29. Click on the NEXT button.
30. Leave as POP3 server. Enter foothill.net in incoming mail server field.
31. Enter smtp.foothill.net in outgoing mail server field.
32. Click on the NEXT button.
33. Keep as "Log on using" and enter your password in password field.
34. Click on the NEXT button.
35. Click on the NEXT button again.
36. Click "YES".
37. Click on the NEXT button.
38. Click on "Create a new Internet news account".
39. Click on NEXT button.
40. Click on NEXT button.
41. Click on NEXT button.
42. Enter nntp.foothill.net in news server field.
43. Click on NEXT button.
44. Click on NEXT button.
45. Click on NEXT button.
46. Click on FINISH button.
