Basic Leader Training for all Adult Leaders

You are invited to Basic Leader Training, BLT!  Who should attend?  All registered Adult Scout Leaders who want to have a quality-scouting program for Boys.  This in conjunction with the Fast Start training qualifies leaders to wear the Trained Leader Emblem.

 

Training Session, Dates, Times & Locations:

Essentials Leader Training

April 11, 2002, Thursday, LDS Chapel, 615 Hollow Way, Nevada City or Maidu High School, 3775 Richardson Dr., Auburn 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Bring: Note pad, pencil, scout spirit, & wear uniform. This training session is geared for all Adult Leaders & interested adults and is a prerequisite for the specific training below. This training section needs to be completed only once by all adult leaders.

 

** All Leader Specific Training on April 13, 2002, Saturday will be at 1255 Bell Road LDS Center, Auburn. **

** 7:30am Start Time for all Leader Specific Training. **             ** Youth Protection Training will begin at 1:00 PM sharp **

All Leaders need to complete; 1.Faststart, 2.Essentials, 3.Leader Specific Training for your position.

 

Cub Scout Leader Specific Training

Cub Scout Leader breakouts (Cubmaster, Den Leader, Tiger Den Leader, Webelos Den Leader & Committee Member) and Youth Protection. Bring: Note pad, pencil, Cub Scout Leader Handbooks, wear uniform, sack lunch, snack to share & scout spirit. Training geared for all Cub Scout Leaders & interested adults.

 

Boy Scout Leader Specific Training

This is a two-session course, one-day classroom session and a Friday eve and Saturday weekend outdoor session.

Indoor Section: April 13, 2002 7:30 to 5:30pm includes Sessions I, II, III.  Bring note pad, pencil, Scoutmaster and Scout Handbooks, sack lunch, snack to share with group, scout spirit, & wear uniform. This training is geared for Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Committee members, second-year Webelos Leaders, and interested parents. Outdoor Leader Skills: April 26-27, 2002, 5pm Fri. to 9pm Sat.: This training will take place in conjunction with the District spring camp-o-ree.  More details about the outdoor portion will be available at the one-day indoor classroom session.

 

Venture Leader Specific Training

This training is designed to introduce adult Venturing crew leaders to the basic information needed to operate a crew.  Bring: Note pad, pencil, Venture Crew Leader Handbooks, sack lunch, snack to share, scout spirit, & wear uniform. All Venture Crew Adult Leaders are welcome and encouraged to attend the Outdoor Leader Skills course described above. Your Training will finish at 1:00pm.

 

Varsity Leader Specific Training

This session is tailored to meet the needs of the LDS Varsity Team Leader. Training will assist the adult leadership to teach and develop leadership skills in their youth.  Bring: Note pad, pencil, Varsity Team Leader Handbooks, sack lunch, snack to share, scout spirit, snack to share & wear uniform. All Varsity Team Adult Leaders are welcome and encouraged to attend the Outdoor Leader Skills course as described above. Your training will finish at approximately at 1:00 pm.
