Sam is in second grade, but not before spending the summer swimming and getting as brown as a nut.. He is going for Little Dragon black belt in October.  After that, he can join the regular class.

Sammy Section

At age 3: such a face!   For people who think Sam is only a perfect angel, this: Sam attempting to modify cousin Henry, for no good reason.     Sam (back) and cousin Henry. You can go a whole lifetime, looking for a picture like this...  Sammy took this picture, with his little sandy paws.  After orange belt test...it was a long day for boys.     Sam, displaying amazing lizard powers.

Well, I'll tell you: it was like this.  There I was, meditating in my cell in the monastery, when I heard this woman singing out on the front lawn...                       And to answer your question, yes, we ARE living happily ever after.  So there.  (But you'll notice that my hair USED to be brown, not white.)
